Why Does Remove WooCommerce Features offer Yoast SEO JSON/LD Removal?

With the release of Remove WooCommerce Features 1.0.3, support for removing the JSON/LD structured data that is generated by the popular Yoast SEO plugin was added under the “Developers” tab.

Remove Yoast SEO JSON/LD Data from Your WooCommerce Site

Since our plugin is devoted to making the act of modifying your WooCommerce site easier you might be asking yourself why this new feature that deals with a Yoast SEO problem has been added.

The JSON/LD Structured Data removal feature in our plugin only works with the data that is generated and embedded into your site’s source code by WooCommerce itself. Unfortunately, the Yoast SEO plugin makes its own set of JSON/LD data for the products in your store so just removing the data that WooCommerce itself provides isn’t enough of a solution.

Our customers who want to remove JSON/LD data for their products, but also use the Yoast SEO plugin, need an additional solution to get the final result they need so we decided to make this new option inside of Remove WooCommerce Features.

With Remove WooCommerce Features 1.0.3, Yoast SEO users now have the option to disable all JSON/LD data that the Yoast plugin generates on your site.

Warning!

Please keep in mind that this is a “use at your own risk” feature as all JSON/LD data generated by Yoast SEO will be removed. Yoast SEO does not offer a way to disable only product data so turning on our “Remove JSON/LD Generated by Yoast SEO” feature will be a comprehensive disabling of all JSON/LD data coming out of Yoast SEO.

We hope this explanation as to why our WooCommerce plugin now interacts with a non-WooCommerce related product makes more sense. If you run into any issues with this new feature, please contact us via our Support form.

How to Remove Stock Messages from WooCommerce Products

WooCommerce has pretty decent inventory control capabilities baked right into the base plugin. You can turn these on for each product in your store using the “Inventory” tab of the Product editing screen inside of the WordPress admin.

Manage Stock in WooCommerce
You can manage stock from the WooCommerce Product admin

You can do all sorts of useful things with this tab like set the amount of a product you currently have in stock, decide whether or not to allow an out of stock product to be backordered and even tell WooCommerce to email you directly when a stock amount on an item reaches a certain level.

One of the defaults settings, once you’ve checked the “Manage stock?” box on a product, is to add stock messages to each product’s page on your store like so:

Stock Message in WooCommerce
An example of a Stock Message in WooCommerce

This is a really useful way to inform potential customers how many of the item they are interested in is available but you don’t always want to broadcast to the public your inventory levels.

If you want to remove these stock messages from your store you’re going to have to make some changes to your WordPress theme or use our Remove WooCommerce Features plugin and save yourself the trouble of editing any code and messing up your site beyond your capabilities to fix.

How to Remove Stock Messages from WooCommerce by Editing Your Theme

If you have any kind of experience editing WordPress themes or just doing some basic file modification for WordPress this shouldn’t be too difficult. Any of you who get nervous about things like FTP or getting into the inner-workings of your store might want to consider hiring a freelancer to help you take care of this process.

Go into your theme’s directory on your server and find the functions.php file. You’re going to want to add the following lines of code to the file, save the changes and then upload the file back to the same directory in which you found it.

add_filter( 'woocommerce_get_stock_html', 'my_remove_stock_messages', 10, 2 );
function my_remove_stock_messages( $html, $product ) {
    if ( $product->is_in_stock() ) {
        $html = '';
    }
    return $html;
}

You should see the change right away if all has gone well. The next time you pull up a product on your site that has inventory levels the stock message should be gone. If you still see theme, or even worse your site is broken, try and restore from a backup or reverse the changes you made to functions.php.

It’s important to remember that, if you are doing this yourself, any changes made to functions.php will be erased the next time you run an update on your theme. There are ways around this by using a child theme but, again, if reading all of this makes your eyes glaze over it is probably best to hire someone to maintain this change for you or give our plugin Remove WooCommerce Features some consideration.

How to Remove the Sorting Dropdown from WooCommerce Pages

WooCommerce themes like to place a strong emphasis on navigation and ease of use for users. This is practically always a good idea as making your site as easy to search and browse as possible is an important way to ensure sales.

One of the default ways in which WooCommerce improves browsing your store is through a simple sorting dropdown on category and search result pages. This dropdown lets your customers rearrange the products they are seeing through a handful of default methods:

  • Relevance (in cases of a search)
  • Popularity
  • Average Rating
  • Latest
  • Price, Lowest to Highest
  • Price, Highest to Lowest
Sorting Dropdown in WooCommerce
An example of a Sorting Dropdown in WooCommerce

These are great ways to sort a big list of products in a multitude of common ways. Of course, if your store doesn’t have a lot of products it can be kind of silly and useless to clutter your site with a sorting dropdown like this.

Who needs to be able to sort categories of two products, for example?

You can remove the sorting dropdown from your store with a couple of lines of code inserted into the right place in your theme files. Or you can use our Remove WooCommerce Features plugin and have everything behind-the-scenes handled for you without writing any code or editing any theme files.

How to Disable the Sorting Dropdown in WooCommerce through Code

Find your theme’s functions.php file and open it in any text editor you have. You’re going to want to go down to the bottom of that file and add the following lines of code:

remove_action( 'woocommerce_before_shop_loop', 'woocommerce_catalog_ordering', 10 );
remove_action( 'woocommerce_after_shop_loop', 'woocommerce_catalog_ordering', 10 );

After you’ve inserted that code you must save the file and then make sure the modified file is put back in your theme’s directory. If any of this sounds like a bit beyond your means or you are concerned with breaking your site you can hire a WooCommerce expert to make the change for you.

Keep in mind that changing your theme’s code, if done incorrectly, is not a permanent solution. Your changes to functions.php will be reversed as soon as you update your theme or swap it out with an entirely new design.

How to Remove WooCommerce Sorting Dropdowns with Our Plugin

The alternative solution to the one above is to purchase, install and activate our Remove WooCommerce Features plugin. Our plugin will let you remove sorting dropdowns from your search results and category pages in three easy steps.

Step #1

Go to the WooCommerce section of your WordPress installation’s admin menu and click the link that says “Remove Features.”

WooCommerce Admin Menu

Step #2

Find the setting for “Sorting Dropdown” and click the checkbox so that it’s marked like so:

Remove WooCommerce Features - Sorting Dropdown

Step #3

Press the “Save Settings” button.

Save Settings Button

And you’re done. Immediately your site will stop showing the sorting dropdowns. Now your customers won’t have their shopping experience cluttered with unnecessary interface elements they wouldn’t have found useful.

How to Remove the SKU from WooCommerce Product Pages

A SKU, or stock keeping unit, is a way for a store to identify their products and all its associated attributes with one easy to use number or term. Support for SKUs is built-in to WooCommerce by default. You can find the field for them in the product editing screen under the “Inventory” tab.

SKU Field in WooCommerce
The SKU field in the WooCommerce Product Admin

SKUs are a very important for stores that deal with a lot of products and inventory variations. They are key in recommendation/suggestion systems for online retails. At a more basic level they play a vital role in inventory management and tracking.

So SKUs are great but what’s not so great is that many WooCommerce themes, including the very popular Storefront, show them by default on the product pages of your site.

SKU in WooCommerce
An example of a SKU in WooCommerce

Typically, your customers don’t really care abou the product SKU and this information is just cluttering up your buying process. You can remove the SKU field entirely from your WooCommerce store if you aren’t afraid to get your handles a little dirty in some code (or want to pay a developer to take care of this for you).

How to Remove SKUs from WooCommerce through Code

You’re going to need to edit the functions.php file of your WordPress theme, add the following lines of code at the bottom and then save the file and upload the changes to your site.

add_filter( 'wc_product_sku_enabled', 'my_remove_sku', 10 );
function my_remove_sku( $return, $product ) {
    if ( !is_admin() && is_product() ) {
        return false;
    } else {
        return true;
    }
}

That code is going to remove the SKU display on your product pages but still keep the field on the admin side of WooCommerce. Beware that many other tutorials online have code that will remove SKUs from WooCommerce entirely, front and admin, and that might not be what you need.

Keep in mind that any changes you make to a theme’s functions.php can be lost if you update the theme or change to a different one entirely. You will have to add those lines of code back in a scenario like that to get SKUs off of your store again.

How to Quickly Remove SKUs from WooCommerce

You can purchase our Remove WooCommerce Features plugin and have SKUs remove from your site in seconds without having to write any code or pay a WordPress developer to work on your theme for you. After your copy of Remove WooCommerce Features is installed and activated the process is easy.

Step #1

Go to the WooCommerce section of your WordPress installation’s admin menu and click the link that says “Remove Features.”

WooCommerce Admin Menu

Step #2

Find the setting for “SKU” and click the checkbox so that it’s marked like so:

Remove WooCommerce Features - SKU

Step #3

Press the “Save Settings” button.

Save Settings Button

SKUs will be removed from the product pages on your site as soon as you’ve hit that “Save Settings” button. Your products will now look something like this:

SKU Removed from WooCommerce

On the admin side, Remove WooCommerce Features keeps the SKU field intact so you can still make use of it internally.

One extra bonus of using our plugin is that your change will last no matter what theme you are using so you don’t have to worry about constantly updating files to keep SKUs off of your site.

Plus, Remove WooCommerce Features supports all sorts of additional changes you might want to make to your store. The process for each is just as simple as removing SKUs. With a few clicks of your mouse you’ll be able to:

How to Remove the WooCommerce Search Result Count

Showing the number of results for a website search is a common practice these days. It is meant to give users, at a glance, an idea of just how broad (or specific) their search term was. WooCommerce shows the result count at the top and bottom of every search that takes place on your store as well as individual category pages by default.

Search Result Count in WooCommerce
An example of a Search Result Count in WooCommerce

The search result count can often be an unnecessary detail just like the sorting dropdown. If your store has a limited number of products you might find yourself looking for a solution to remove the count entirely from your WooCommerce theme.

You can accomplish this with some light theme editing or you can use our Remove WooCommerce Features plugin and avoid having to update your store’s theme or get involved with accessing the files on your server.

How to Disable Search Result Counts from WooCommerce with Code

To remove the search result count yourself you will have to make some slight changes to your theme’s functions.php file. Open that file up in any text editor, work your way down to the bottom of the file and add the following two lines of code:

remove_action( 'woocommerce_before_shop_loop', 'woocommerce_result_count', 20 );
remove_action( 'woocommerce_after_shop_loop', 'woocommerce_result_count', 20 );

This code will remove the count display at the top and bottom of the search result and category pages of your site.

Save the file and then upload it back to your server. Make sure you put it in your theme’s directory. Once that process is complete you are all set. If you are unsure about things and still want to go down this road of editing your theme you can find a freelance WordPress developer who should have no trouble taking care of this for you.

There are some things to remember if you edit your theme. Unless you use what is called a child theme, any changes you make to the functions.php file will be overwritten the next time you download an update your theme provider has released. Also, if you change your WooCommerce store theme to something else the changes will be lost.

Again, if all of this sounds a little beyond your grasp or you are concerned about messing something up then find a WooCommerce expert to help you out. Or consider giving our plugin a try.

How to Remove Search Result Counts from WooCommerce without Code

You will need to purchase a copy of Remove WooCommerce Features and then install and activate the plugin on your site. From there you can remove the search result count from your theme in three very simple steps.

Step #1

Go to the WooCommerce section of your WordPress installation’s admin menu and click the link that says “Remove Features.”

WooCommerce Admin Menu

Step #2

Find the setting for “Search Result Count” and click the checkbox so that it’s marked like so:

Remove WooCommerce Features - Search Result Count

Step #3

Press the “Save Settings” button.

Save Settings Button

Now you’re all set. Changes you make with Remove WooCommerce Features take place immediately after your settings are saved. You can go to any search or category on your store and now see that the search result count has disappeared.

Search Result Count Removed from WooCommerce
An example of a Search Result Count Removed from WooCommerce

Our plugin doesn’t care about what theme you are using, or if it has been recently updated, so your setting is always preserved. You’ll never have to edit your theme’s files or pay someone else to do so for you once you have Remove WooCommerce Features installed on your store.

In addition to dealing with search result counts (and the sorting dropdown we mentioned way at the start of this post), the plugin will help you remove a bunch of other common WooCommerce features that sometimes get in the way more than they help.

Our plugin lets you adjust over 15 individual settings on your store without having to write a single line of code. The entire list of features can be found here on our site.

How to Remove Related Products from your WooCommerce Site

By default, many WooCommerce themes show customers a list of related products on the individual item pages of your store. This is meant to give visitors a quick way to continue browsing your products and, ultimately, add some more to their cart before checkout.

Related Products in WooCommerce
An example of Related Products in WooCommerce

Related products are a great way to increase sales and grow exposure for your catalog of goods. Unfortunately, if your site doesn’t have a lot of products or the matches WooCommerce considers “related” don’t make a lot of sense it’s usually best to disable this feature entirely.

You can turn off the related products section of your product pages in two different ways. The first requires some light file editing and a basic understanding of how to modify a WordPress theme. The second is with our easy to use Remove WooCommerce Features plugin; not file editing or coding required.

How to Disable Related Products from WooCommerce with Code

Every WordPress theme should come with a file called functions.php. You’re going to want to locate that file in your theme’s directory, open it and add the following line of code near the bottom.

remove_action( 'woocommerce_after_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_output_related_products', 20 );

Once that’s done you’ll need to save the file and then upload it back up to your site into the theme’s directory. If everything was done correctly the related products section of your product pages should be gone the next time you load up your WooCommerce store.

Those of you that are uncomfortable with handling the above might want to consider hiring a WooCommerce expert or WordPress developer to lend you a hand. Programmers should find this task to be extremely trivial. Just make sure you find someone you trust to give access to your site’s files and access information.

Keep in mind that modifying a theme’s functions.php file is typically only a temporary solution. The next time you update your WooCommerce store’s theme it’s very likely your changes will be overwritten and you’ll have to go back and add them again (or re-hire your developer to do it for you).

How to Remove WooCommerce Related Products the Easy Way

There’s another way to take care of hiding related products that doesn’t involve editing files, writing some code or finding a WordPress developer.

You can purchase our Remove WooCommerce Features plugin and have your related products (and a bunch of other parts of your store) disappear with two clicks of your mouse. After you have installed and activated the plugin, you can get rid of the related products display in three easy steps.

Step #1

Go to the WooCommerce section of your WordPress installation’s admin menu and click the link that says “Remove Features.”

WooCommerce Admin Menu

Step #2

Find the setting for “Related Products” and click the checkbox so that it’s marked like so:

Remove WooCommerce Features - Related Products

Step #3

Press the “Save Settings” button.

Save Settings Button

Related products will immediately be be removed from the product pages on your site as soon as you press the “Save Settings” button. Your product pages will now be less cluttered.

Related Products Removed from WooCommerce

Using the Remove WooCommerce Features plugin, instead of modifying your theme’s code directly, is not only quicker and requires zero programming knowledge but it is also the longer lasting solution. No matter what theme you choose, update or switch to your setting for disabling related products will always hold and be applied.

Remove WooCommerce Features, the plugin that tells you exactly what it is good for right in the title, can help you remove a bunch of features you don’t want on your store including:

How to Remove the Quantity Field from WooCommerce Products

WooCommerce includes a quantity input field on products by default. This input shows up on both the individual product page as well as the cart review screen. This simple feature, especially on the cart view, seems like a wonderful addition to make the user experience better but sometimes it has unintended consequences.

Quantity Field on a WooCommerce Product
An example of a Quantity Field on a WooCommerce Product

If you never want your customers to be able to order more than one of any given product for sale on your site you are going to want to disable the quantity field from your WooCommerce theme.

There are several ways to do this and they range from tedious to quick and easy.

How to Disable the Quantity Field on a Single Product

There’s an option inside of WooCommerce’s product management interface to mark an item as only eligibigle for individual sale. You can find this by opening up your product inside of the WooCommerce admin and scrolling down to the “Product Data” section of the interface.

Under “Product Data” you will see a series of tabs on the left-hand side. The option you are looking for is available under the “Inventory” tab. At the bottom of that tab is a checkbox called “Sold Individually” that will disable the quantity field for this particular product (and only this product).

WooCommerce Product Marked as "Sold Individually"
A WooCommerce Product Marked as “Sold Individually”

Checking that box and saving your product will remove the quantity field from the product’s page and it’s row in the cart view when a customer is going to checkout. When a product is marked as “Sold Individually” it also has the added bonus of preventing customers from adding more than one item to your cart by disabling the “Add to Cart” process if one of the item has already been added.

Remove the Quantity Field from All WooCommerce Products by Editing Your Theme

This is where things get a little trickier. In order to get this done yourself you will need to make some changes to your theme’s functions.php file. If you aren’t familiar with how this process goes you will probably want to consider hiring a qualified WordPress developer to go in and make this change for you.

Afraid of writing some code or not interested in overpaying for a WordPress developer’s billable time to remove the quantity field? Skip ahead to our own easy solution.

Let’s write a little code. Add the following lines to your theme’s functions.php file and the quantity field will disappear for every product on your site including the individual product pages and the cart checkout process.

add_filter( 'woocommerce_is_sold_individually', 'my_remove_quantity_fields', 10, 2 );
function my_remove_quantity_fields( $return, $product ) {
    return true;
}

The trick with editing your theme’s functions.php file is that the next time your theme is updated that change will be lost. You will have to go back in and add those lines back after each update to make sure you have removed the quantity field.

Remove the Quantity Field from Your WooCommerce Store in Seconds

Our plugin, Remove WooCommerce Features, has a built-in control for removing the quantity field and it doesn’t require you having to write code or edit key files inside your theme.

How to Disable WooCommerce’s Product Redirect after a Single Search Result

WooCommerce comes out of the box with plenty of little “quality of life” interface improvements and adjustments for your visitors. These tweaks are meant to give customers the quickest route from browsing products, to adding them to their cart and checking out.

One of these improvements is how WooCommerce handles searches that return only one result. When there is only one product that matches a search query the user is not presented the search results screen at all. Instead they are taken directly to the only product that matches what they were looking for.

For example, let’s say you only have one pair of sunglasses for sale on your store. If a user searches for “sunglasses” in your site’s search box they will be redirected straight to the Sunglasses product page.

The intention is to make your potential buyer have to take one less click than necessary to get to the product they want. But what if you don’t want that redirec to take place? Maybe your search results page has shown, through your analytics, that people who visit tend to buy more than one product. In that case, you would want the people doing searches to see the results screen no matter what.

You can disable this single search result redirect with a few lines of code that you will need to add to your WooCommerce theme by yourself. Or you can check out our Remove WooCommerce Features plugin and have it do the work for you.

How to Remove WooCommerce’s Single Search Result Redirect with Code

You can remove this search redirect capability from WooCommerce by adding the following code to your theme’s functions.php file.

add_filter( 'woocommerce_redirect_single_search_result', 'my_remove_search_redirect', 10 );
function my_remove_search_redirect() {
    return false;
}

The functions.php you want is located in your theme’s directory. If you aren’t familiar with the process of editing and uploading theme files, or how to do this properly through a child theme, then you might want to consider reaching out to a WordPress developer and have them assist you. The cost for taking care of this on your site shouldn’t be too outrageous but just make sure they do it in such a way that you don’t need to be constantly re-applying the code after every theme update you do.

How to Disable the Single Product Search Result Redirect with Our Plugin

Remove WooCommerce Features has support for disabling this search redirect function built-in. There’s no need to edit files, insert code or pay a developer to do the work for you. After you’ve purchased and installed the plugin you can turn this off in a moments by following these steps.

Step #1

Go to the WooCommerce section of your WordPress installation’s admin menu and click the link that says “Remove Features.”

WooCommerce Admin Menu

Step #2

Find the setting for “Redirect to Product on Single Search Result” and click the checkbox so that it’s marked like so:

Remove WooCommerce Features - Product Search Redirect on Single Result

Step #3

Press the “Save Settings” button.

Save Settings Button

As soon as you press Save the change will go into effect. The beauty of using Remove WooCommerce Features to handle this, as opposed to making changes to your theme’s code, is that the change will last regardless of any theme updates or changes you make to your site going forward. The plugin remembers your setting and applies it as long as you have Remove WooCommerce Features installed and activated on your site.

Our plugin does a whole lot more than just turn off this default search redirect. You can use it to remove or disable over 15 WooCommerce features without having to write or manage any code yourself. You can use the plugin to:

How to Remove the Zoom from WooCommerce Product Images

One of the more dynamic interface features of WooCommerce is the ability to zoom in on a product image by simply hovering over it with your mouse. You can find similar design choices on a lot of the most popular online retailers from huge giants like Amazon to smaller shops selling a wide variety of products.

Product Image Zoom in WooCommerce
An example of Product Image Zoom in WooCommerce

The zoom feature for product images is nice but not necessarily something that is right for all kinds of stores or items. For instance, not all products really require users to have the ability to see up tight and close. It’s also possible that the zoom effect provided by WooCommerce could cause conflicts with other parts of your WordPress theme or plugins that you have installed.

You can disable this product image zoom effect inside of WooCommerce in a couple of different ways. So get ready to edit some code in your theme or skip to the end for our simple and more permanent solution.

How to Disable Product Image Zoom from WooCommerce Products with Code Changes

This used to be a lot more complicated but the release of WooCommerce 3.0 has gotten this feature removal method down to a single line of code. Just find the functions.php file inside of your WordPress theme’s directory, open it in your favorite text editor and add the following line:

add_action( 'init', 'my_remove_lightbox' );
function my_remove_lightbox() {
    remove_theme_support( 'wc-product-gallery-zoom' );
}

That’s it. After you’ve added that one line you need to save the file and then make sure it gets uploaded/changed on your site’s server. If you are not familiar with how to modifying text files, use FTP to upload them to a server or just want to play it safe by going this direction you should consider hiring a WordPress developer to take care of this for you.

The one caveat to this approach is that the change probably won’t last forever. As soon as the developer of your WordPress theme issues an update and you apply it to your site any changes you’ve made to the theme’s function.php file will go away and you’ll have to add the line and save the file again.

How to Remove Image Zoom from WooCommerce Product Pages without Modifying Your Theme

You can purchase our Remove WooCommerce Features plugin right here on this site and remove the image zoom with just a few clicks of your mouse.

It’s a simple three step process after you’ve downloaded and installed our plugin to your WooCommerce site:

Step #1

Go to the WooCommerce section of your WordPress installation’s admin menu and click the link that says “Remove Features.”

WooCommerce Admin Menu

Step #2

Find the setting for “Product Image Zoom” and click the checkbox so that it’s marked like so:

Remove WooCommerce Features - Product Image Zoom

Step #3

Press the “Save Settings” button.

Save Settings Button

The change will take place immediately. You can verify this by loading up any of your product’s pages and hovering over the image to see for yourself.

The best part about using the Remove WooCommerce Features plugin as opposed to modifying your theme is that the change will last as long as you have the plugin installed and activated. Remove WooCommerce Features applies its settings through theme updates and changes without you having to worry about doing any extra work.

Our plugin does a lot more than just remove the image zoom though. It offers solutions for removing and disabling over 15 different parts of WooCommerce that people find unuseful, unnecessary or impractical for their store’s needs. With Remove WooCommerce Features you can:

How to Remove the Lightbox from WooCommerce Product Images

A lightbox, in website terms, is a method of displaying images (and occasionally videos) to a user in a way that draws attention to the image. This is typically done by showing the image in the center of the screen and dimming or darkening the background around it. There is usually navigation added as well to allow the viewer to go back and forth between images in a set without having to exit the lightbox.

WooCommerce comes with this kind of lightbox by default and applies it to all of the images on your product pages. This is great if you have multiple photos or explanatory images you want shown with your products. It’s not so great if your products only have one image and the use of a lightbox just adds confusion and unnecessary extra overheard to your storefront.

Product Image Lightbox in WooCommerce
An example of a Product Image Lightbox in WooCommerce

Anyone interested in disabling the lightbox from their store has two options. You can either do some light modification to your WooCommerce theme or install our plugin and get this done without having to write any code, modify any files or worry about finding a good WordPress developer to do all of that for you.

How to Disable the Product Image Lightbox with Code

Removing the product image lightbox from a WooCommerce theme is actually pretty easy if you are comfortable with editing some files on your site’s server. You just need to add the one line of code to the functions.php file found in your theme’s directory.

add_action( 'init', 'my_remove_lightbox' );
function my_remove_lightbox() {
    remove_theme_support( 'wc-product-gallery-lightbox' );
}

On the scale of programming tasks required to maintain a WordPress site this is pretty low on the difficulty end. Of course, editing and uploading files isn’t for everyone and you might want to consider hiring a WooCommerce developer or WordPress freelancer to assist you in making this change to ensure you don’t break your site accidentally.

It’s also worth pointing out that changes you make to your functions.php file are not guaranteed to be permanent. As soon as the theme you are using receives an updated, or you replace the theme entirely with something new, you’ll need to make this addition to the functions.php file again to restore your setting of removing the image lightbox.
